Customized Mend Massage
Massage style is dependent upon individual preference and is widely customizable throughout the body. Swedish massage consists of comforting, long flowing strokes along the body. This massage is soothing and ideal for destressing the body and sinking into deep relaxation. Traditionally, no deep or specific work; but it is beautifully combined with deeper work when needed. Deep tissue massage is intended to encourage dramatic changes in the different levels of tissue. This massage may rest on the border of discomfort, with more specific focus on trouble areas.
Hot Stone Massage
A massage performed with the highest quality basalt stones sourced from the Andes mountains in South America. This is a deeply relaxing, warming session. Traditionally, stones are set along areas of the body to warm the muscle and soothe out tension. At Mend, stones are hand held and applied to the body throughout the session and also used to address areas of tension/discomfort for deeper work.
Pre-Natal Massage
This side-lying service is recommended for 2nd and 3rd trimester low-risk pregnancy. Modified Swedish massage addressing: neck and shoulders, arms and hands, full back, hips, legs and feet. Contraindicated body regions will be avoided during this session.
